Biography

Born in Los Angeles, and raised in Miami, Jacquelyn was exposed to the multi-cultural creative environment of South Florida from the time she was a child. That environment inspired Jacquelyn to start writing songs at a young age and embrace different styles of music. Her strongest musical influences range from Carly Simon, Carole King and Susanna Hoffs, to Pink, Fergie, Hillary Scott (Lady Antebellum), Adele, and Christina Perri.

While working on her music in Miami a number of years ago, Jacquelyn’s gift of clever, catchy, yet soulful and introspective songwriting caught the attention of Grammy and Billboard award winning songwriter-producer, Rudy Perez with whom Jacquelyn started frequently collaborating. Jacquelyn was then fortunate enough to work closely with other legendary writers-producers, including Paul Fox (Natalie Merchant, 10,000 Maniacs) and two-time Grammy nominated Joel Diamond (Gloria Gaynor, Laura Branigan, Sister Sledge).

Jacquelyn’s songwriting also attracted the attention of long-time music business entrepreneur Al Machera (former co-manager of mega-group Salt ‘N Peppa, and current owner of Westlake Recording Studios in Hollywood), while she was writing and recording a number of songs at Westlake. Machera immediately signed Jacquelyn as a songwriter to his then newly launched music publishing company, “Fr8 Train Music”.

More recently, Jacquelyn has been collaborating with a number of cutting-edge songwriters, including extensive work with writer-producer Tony Rodini (a SonyATV writer, and producer of “Terror Jr.”, Rita Ora, TYSM and other major label artists), writer-producer-artist Alicia Madison (featured on notable EDM tracks “Promiscuous”, “Insanity”, and “Toxic Rain”), and newcomer writer-artist Charlee Muse (whose stunning vocals appear on the Garabatto tracks “Infected” and “Ignite”). These collaborations have resulted in a continuing and growing demand for Jacquelyn to collaborate with writers, producers and artists in all genres of music. Most recently, Jacquelyn has been relying on her extensive song crafting, recording, and live performance experiences, and has been mentoring young musical talent by helping them develop as more impactful songwriters, as well as helping them maximize their vocal recording performances. Jacquelyn’s work in these areas has lead to her being a sought after songwriting mentor, as well as a vocal recording producer for developing songwriters, artist and performers.
